I produced this render for Murder Detective 2: Corruption.  This is one of around 30 screens created for the game.

This one is actually a team effort with Lee Kellett.  Lee created a lot of the base geometry on this one.

It took a while to get the lighting on this scene right.  In the end, I cut a number of additional windows in and placed reflective surfaces in there to bounce light into the darker corners.  By this stage I had started to use atmospheric effects as standard, even in places where you would not expect to find them.  Normally, I wouldn’t really consider putting fog in someone’s living room – but it does add a sort of ‘early morning’ feel to the scene.
