Need for Speed Carbon GBA was the last outing for our 3D engine on Game Boy Advance.  The new Nintendo DS had now well and truly eclipsed the old GBA system, which had no native 3D capabilities.

I oversaw development of the artwork for this product.  As with the previous games, it was based on work-in-progress next-gen content provided by Electronic Arts.  By now the production methods behind these NFS Game Boy Advance products was well and truly established, so development ran like clockwork.

Looking back, 2006 marked a significant change game development for many small studios like ours.  Development contracts were always difficult to come by, but from 2007 onwards, they seemed to vanish altogether.

Of course, 2007 is when we saw the first iPhone…
