Dennis | Amiga

I worked as part of the team converting the SNES game over to the Amiga.  The game was created at PAL Developments in Sheffield for Ocean Software.  Another team within PAL worked on the Dennis version for Game Boy.

The original graphics were created by Ivan Horn and John Lomax with sprites by Simon Butler.  My job, along with fellow pixel-pusher Andy Parkin, was primarily to reduce the color palette down to the limited palette for the Amiga, clean everything up, then recreate the SNES game maps.  I do remember having to work overnight on a few occasions to hit deadlines, but we got there in the end.  Many of the coders and artists used to crash out for the night on the studio floor at PAL Developments.  I know that sounds like a sweat-shop, but those were actually great times – I have a lot of good memories of working at that studio.  Dennis was the last game that I worked on for PAL Developments.
